To help growers stay updated on the latest audit standards, USDA AMS will be holding a webinar April 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET on USDA GAP and GAP+ updates that will go into effect on May 1, 2024. The standards are being updated to align with the Produce GAP’s Harmonized Combined Standard and will allow AMS’ GAP audit services to continue to be relevant for its customers in the specialty crop industry. The updates include more consistent language, reduce redundancy, and provide new requirements relating to water treatment, soil amendments, recall program, and maintenance.
