  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 2 tbsp diced dill pickles
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 2 tbsp minced onions

Directions

  1. Cook French fries according to package directions.

  2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high; cook beef, salt and pepper until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. Preheat broiler to high; arrange rack in middle oven. Arrange French fries on parchment paper–lined baking tray. Top with ground beef, bacon and Cheddar; broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese starts to soften and melt.

  4. Meanwhile, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and pickles.

  5. Sprinkle lettuce, tomato and onions over poutine. Drizzle with sauce.

Tip: Substitute barbecue sauce for mayo/mustard/ketchup sauce if desired.
