WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (WSDA) FARM TO SCHOOL PURCHASING GRANT ROUND TWO APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN
$300,000 is available in Farm to School Purchasing Grants through WSDA for school districts, childcare centers, tribal schools, tribal early learning centers and organizations that operate a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Program. For Washington farmers and producers, participation is a marketing opportunity to sell to small and large institutions. The grant funds are intended to support child nutrition programs with funds to purchase food raised, grown, caught, or foraged within Washington state. This funding will also assist communities in recovery from the impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic. Procurement from small and direct marketing farms, food businesses, socially disadvantaged, beginning farms, limited resource, and women and veteran farmers will be emphasized.
Applications for Round 2 of the Farm to School Purchasing Grants are open and due April 15, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. PST. Find more information on applying here or by emailing
