UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) ANNOUNCES 32 APPOINTMENTS TO POTATO USA’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

USDA appointed thirty-two members to Potato USA’s Board of Directors, including thirty producers and two importers. The appointments fill three-year terms that expire on February 28, 2027. Annually, Potatoes USA conducts the nomination process allowing for the industry to propose candidates for the positions which are appointed after a complete review by the Secretary of Agriculture. Potatoes USA works to promote and support the potato industry, set strategic goals, and direct resources towards marketing, research, and education. Ultimately, they promote and monitor programs that effectively and positively impact the potato industry, growers, processors, and additional stakeholders.
