The Washington State Potato Commission is honored that Spudman has recognized Matthew Harris’ and Mike Pink’s achievements in promoting the potato industry.

Part of the industry for over 22 years, Harris works hard to ensure a fair regulatory environment by tackling technical and policy barriers head on while taking the time to educate the community and his colleagues on the effects trade, transportation and regulatory barriers have on the potato industry in Washington state. Whether locally, domestically or in foreign markets, Harris works to remove or prevent barriers causing unfair market access and has been a part of limiting or eliminating impediments that have affected the sale and use of Washington potatoes in these markets.

Mike Pink, founder of Pink Farms, is also recognized as part of the 2023 Spudman Dream Team for his commitment to the Washington state potato industry. His diverse farm operation grows grass seed, field corn, alfalfa hay, timothy hay, buckwheat and even includes cows/calfs but his main crop is potatoes. Over the last 35 years, Pink has served on the Washington State Potato Commission, the National Potato Council and is a Past Chairman for Potatoes USA. Currently, he is a board member for Potatoes USA, APRE and Potato Growers of Washington.

Spudman has also honored Richard Pavelski, Ken Frost, John Mesko, and Mike Phillips as 2023 Dream Team Winners.

Congratulations to the 2023 Spudman Dream Team.
