SMALL BUSINESS EXPORT GRANTS AVAILABLE

0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

To boost the state’s small business exports, the SBA has awarded the Washington State Department of Commerce (DOC) a one-million-dollar State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) grant. This is the largest STEP grant awarded over the eleven-year period the program has been active. The funds will be used by DOC to continue small business export assistance programs. This encompasses export vouchers, industry focused trade show and trade mission support, inbound buyer events, and export training. To date, 1,516 Washington unique small businesses have received STEP grant funds since its inception in 2010 through the Small Business Jobs Act. This has resulted in over $600 million in sales with an estimated return on investment nearing 52:1.
