DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY PROVIDES CLAIM FORMS COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE WRIA 1 NOOKSACK BASIN ADJUDICATION

The Department of Ecology's Water Resources Program is holding a 60-day comment period as required by RCW 90.03.140(3). We invite you to review and comment on the following draft documents for the WRIA 1 Nooksack Basin adjudication:

• Small Use Court Claim Form
• Full-Length Court Claim Form
• Instructions

Starting in Spring 2024, people on record in WRIA 1 who have a water right document or own a parcel outside a water service area will be sent certified mail with instructions on how to file a court claim.  They will need to fill out either the Small Use Court Claim Form or the Full-Length Court Claim Form. The same instructions will be used for both forms. Before finalizing the Small Use and Full-Length Court Claim Forms and instructions, we want your feedback to ensure these draft documents are in good shape for the spring filing.
