$35 MILLION AVAILABLE IN WE FEED WASHINGTON GRANTS

To support the efforts of Washington State organizations and businesses working to ensure the hunger needs of Washingtonians are met, the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) is offering $35 million dollars in We Feed Washington grants. Applications are open for submission now through July 17, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. PST.

Through this effort, WSDA looks to increase access to emergency food for Washingtonians while supporting diverse hunger relief projects and improving Washington’s farm and food businesses economic viability. To be eligible, businesses and nonprofit organizations need to have existing relationships in the hunger relief sector. Distributors, food banks, aggregators, meal programs, and unique organizations can be included if they are meeting the hunger needs of the community.

Grant funds can be used to fulfill the costs of procurement and distribution of food to those in need plus fund any allowable administrative costs. Grants range from $250,000.00 to one million with the smallest grant considered being $100,000.00.

We Feed Washington grants are part of WSDA’s Focus on Food Initiative that aims to see that the food produced and distributed throughout Washington is safe and nutritious.
