2023 POTATO SUMMIT IS HERE!
See you Monday, December 11, 2023 for the 2023 Potato Summit! If you are unable to attend in person, please check out our Zoom option! The Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) is ready to host the Washington potato industry to explore trends and challenges impacting our industry in the future. Join colleagues in person for the Potato Summit on December 11-12, 2023 at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, Washington for round table discussions on the issues the industry needs to prioritize and assist in planning long range solutions.
Presentations and roundtable discussions will focus on these issues:
- Export challenges and opportunities,
- Global perspectives on potato processing,
- Weather and climate trends and projections,
- The challenge to develop new water supplies,
- How to utilize innovative marketing strategies to cultivate industry growth,
- Explore the future of robotics, technology, and automation in the industry,
- Learn about the Washington State University Land Legacy Program,
- The future of artificial intelligence in potato promotion and education,
- The possibility that the California Sustainable Pesticide plan is coming to Washington,
- Receive an update on legislative and regulatory labor issues affecting the industry,
- Labor trends and cost management,
- Opportunities and challenges to the industry taking shape in Washington D.C.,
- Soil health in potatoes, and
- The future business climate for the potato industry within Washington State.
WSPC would prefer your in-person attendance for round table discussions, but understand that may not be possible for everyone, so we are offering a Zoom option so that presentations will be available for viewing.
