WSDA HOLDING REVIEW AND LISTENING SESSIONS ON WAC 16-202 RULEMAKING REVISIONS

The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) will hold two rounds of online review and listening sessions on their rulemaking process for revisions and modernization of Chapter 16-202 Washington Administrative Code (WAC 16-202) governing chemigation and fertigation. The first round of two hour sessions will discuss rule changes by section via TEAMS on four occasions on varying days and times to allow more participation. Each of these four hour sessions will be identical in material, so there is no need to attend all four sessions. The agenda to these four sessions is as follows:

Once the feedback has been incorporated from the first round of meetings, the second round will be scheduled. A finalized version of the proposed rules will be discussed in the second round to address that all the concerns and modifications have been made. Currently, the second round is tentatively scheduled for the week of January 27, 2024.
