SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL POTATO MONTH!
There’s a lot to celebrate in September, it’s National Potato Month! 🥔

Here at the WSPC, we think potatoes deserve more than just one day of celebration. All month long, we’re shining a spotlight on America’s favorite vegetable and the Washington farmers who work hard to grow the high-quality potatoes that make their way to tables across the country and around the world.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner—or even a snack—there’s always room for potatoes!
Start your morning with crispy breakfast potatoes or a hearty potato and egg skillet. Add potato wedges or a loaded baked potato to lunch, and bring everyone to the dinner table with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, comforting soups, casseroles and more.
Throughout National Potato Month, we’ll be sharing exciting recipes, cooking inspiration and new ways to enjoy Washington potatoes. Whether you’re looking for a quick weeknight meal, a family favorite or something completely new, we have plenty of ideas waiting for you.
National Potato Month is also a great opportunity to get kids excited about where their food comes from. Our website features fun potato projects, activities and educational resources for kids that make learning about agriculture—and potatoes—fun.
Follow Washington Potatoes throughout September for fun potato facts, recipes, activities, farmer stories and plenty of potato inspiration.
And there’s one very easy way everyone can celebrate National Potato Month: Eat more potatoes!
Bake ’em. Mash ’em. Roast ’em. Fry ’em. Put ’em in a soup or stew. However you like them, make Washington potatoes part of breakfast, lunch and dinner this September.
