RAJ KHOSLA NAMED CASHUP DAVIS FAMILY ENDOWED DEAN OF WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY’S COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURAL, HUMAN, AND NATURAL RESOURCE SCIENCES
On May 14, 2025, Washington State University (WSU) Provost and Executive Vice President T. Chris Riley-Tillman announced the selection of Raj Khosla as the Cashup Davis Family Endowed Dean Of Washington State University’s College Of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS). Khosla will start in the role on September 1, 2025.
Currently, Khosla is the Kansas State University Department of Agronomy Department Head and is a globally recognized researcher on precision agriculture. He is the founder and a past president of the International Society of Precision Agriculture. The utilization of spatial and temporal variability in agro-ecosystems to assist producers in improving management decisions to enhance production, resource efficiency, and sustainability is the focus of his research. His contributions earned him the Werner L. Nelson Award for Diagnosis of Yield-Limiting Factors from the American Society of Agronomy, named the Precision Agriculture Educator in 2005, and was honored in 2012 as a Jefferson Science Fellow by the National Academy of Sciences. National and international agriculture policy has been influenced by his expertise through his roles as Senior Science Advisor on Food Security to the U.S. Department of State and as a member of NASA’s Presidential Advisory Board on Positioning, Navigation, and Timing. Khosla is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and six other scientific societies.
