POTATO GROWERS ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL SEED TREATMENT STUDY

Potato growers who treat seed on-farm have an opportunity to contribute to important new research aimed at advancing industry knowledge while supporting the continued safe and effective use of seed treatment technologies in U.S. potato production.
The National Potato Council, in partnership with UPL Ltd., is compiling a list of farms interested in participating in a research study examining potential exposure to liquid seed protectants during potato seed treatment. The study will help provide real-world data that can guide future product use recommendations, application practices, and safety protocols specific to potato operations.
Farms that cut and treat potato seed pieces on-site—and have the ability to use liquid formulations of seed protection products may qualify to participate. Grower involvement is critical to ensure the research reflects practical, on-farm conditions and supports science-based decision-making for the industry.
Those interested in being added to the list of potential participants are encouraged to complete the Google Form here or via the QR code.
