The nomination process is now open for Washington potato growers interested in serving on the national board of Potatoes USA.

Washington will have two open seats available for three-year terms beginning in March 2027 and ending February 28, 2030. The positions provide an opportunity for Washington growers to help guide national potato marketing, research, and promotion efforts while representing the interests of the state’s potato industry at the national level.

Potatoes USA serves as the nation’s potato research and promotion organization, working to strengthen demand for potatoes through marketing initiatives, research programs, and domestic and international market development.  Board members are expected to actively participate in meetings and industry discussions throughout their term. Annual meetings include the Spring Meeting in Denver, the Summer Meeting held at rotating locations across the country, and the annual Strategy Meeting in Denver.

Qualified nominees should be active in the potato farming community and willing to serve as a voice for Washington growers. Board members help communicate regional priorities to the national board while also sharing Potatoes USA programs and initiatives with growers back home.

Washington growers interested in being considered for one of the three open seats are encouraged to contact their state grower leadership or reach out to Brandy Tucker at This email address is being protected from spambots.
