MCDONALDS ANNOUNCES PLAN TO HIRE 375,000 RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES THIS SUMMER IN UNITED STATES

McDonald’s announced plans to hire 375,000 restaurant employees this summer in the United States (US). The move to increase positions at company owned and franchised stores is partly attributed to McDonald’s plan to expand within the US by opening 900 more restaurants by 2027. The last time they increased Summer hiring was in 2020 while re-opening restaurants post covid. Optimism for growth seems to be shared by other restaurant operators with the National Restaurant Association reporting more than 46,000 jobs in March and April. In February, Chipotle also announced its intent to hire 20,000 workers.
