Investing in the Future of the Potato Industry: Potato LEAF Scholarship Applications Open Through June 12, 2026

The Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) will award one $10,000 graduate-level scholarship to support a master’s or doctoral student conducting research that benefits the U.S. potato industry. Graduate students working to advance the future of the potato industry are encouraged to apply for the 2026-27 academic scholarship program. Areas of focus may include improving potato production efficiency, advancing pest and disease management, enhancing consumer benefits associated with potato consumption, or strengthening the long-term competitiveness of the U.S. potato sector. The scholarship is designed to support emerging leaders and researchers whose work will contribute meaningful solutions and innovation to the industry.

Applications are due June 12, 2026, with the scholarship recipient to be announced in August for the 2026-27 academic year.

Growers, industry members, and university partners are encouraged to share this opportunity with eligible students and researchers who may have an interest in supporting the future of potato production and research.
