DOE HOLDS FIRST PUBLIC MEETING DECEMBER 16, 2024 ON RULEMAKING ON HYDROFLUOROCARBONS (HFC) AND OTHER FLUORINATED GREENHOUSE GASES

On December 16, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Department of Ecology (DOE) will hold a public meeting on hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) and other fluorinated greenhouse gases rulemaking via Zoom. The meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about the rulemaking process for the HFC Rules to make amendments to Chapter 173-443 WAC. The rulemaking revisions are as follows:

  • WAC 173-443-075: Revisions to modify the sell through provisions.
  • WAC 173-443-075: Revisions to modify the prohibitions for automatic commercial ice machines along with other necessary technical and administrative changes throughout the chapter.
