The Hermiston Potato Field Day was held on June 24, 2026, at the Hermiston Agricultural Research and Extension Center (HAREC), Oregon State University. The event brought together potato growers, industry representatives, extension specialists, students, and researchers from Oregon State University (OSU), Washington State University (WSU), the University of Idaho (UI), and Montana State University (MSU). The field day provided an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about the latest advances in potato breeding, pest and disease management, soil health, and crop production.

The nomination process is now open for Washington potato growers interested in serving on the national board of Potatoes USA.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new Regenerative Feedstock Rule following President Trump’s Executive Order advancing regenerative agriculture. The rule is designed to create a voluntary framework for farmers to capture additional market value from regenerative practices through the biofuel supply chain.
