This week, over 50 attendees, including legislators, policymakers, and agricultural leaders, gathered in the Skagit Valley for the Savor the Land: Where Policy Meets the Plate tour. This two-day event offered a unique opportunity to connect food policy with the people and practices that sustain Washington’s land, water, and communities.

Ecology sets a yearly implementation fee for Refrigerant Management Program (RMP) registrants with certain refrigerant systems. This applies to systems with over 200 pounds of refrigerants with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) above 150 (WAC 173-443-135). This fee helps pay the costs of running the program. Under Washington law, Ecology may adjust the fee each year to cover program implementation.

Applications are now being accepted for the Potato Leadership, Education, and Advancement Foundation’s (Potato LEAF) 2025 Potato Industry Leadership Institute (PILI).

Registration is open for the Columbia Basin Development League (CBDL) Conference and Annual Meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Early bird savings are available to attendees registering by September 1, 2025.
