wsna2The Washington State Potato Commission was proud to once again participate in the Washington School Nutrition Association (WSNA) Annual Conference—marking our 10th year at this important event! We had the opportunity to connect with over 260 nutrition directors and food service employees from school districts across the state.

This year, we were thrilled to be joined again by Chef Brenda Wattles, who led two well-attended presentations on “As Purchased Versus Edible Portion.” Attendees walked away with practical tools to maximize kitchen efficiency and minimize food waste—plus, they got to taste Chef Brenda’s delicious potato wedges seasoned with shawarma spices.

As always, it was a pleasure to engage with the dedicated professionals who nourish Washington’s students every day. And to top it off, WSPC’s booth was voted Best Overall Booth at the trade show!

We’re already looking forward to next year’s conference and continuing to support healthy, delicious meals for kids throughout Washington.
