MARCH 13, 2026 IS APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR USDA SPECIALTY CROP AID

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Specialty Crop Aid is providing $1 billion in one-time economic assistance through the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers Program for eligible specialty crops and sugar not covered under the Farmer Bridge Assistance program.  Payments will be based on reported 2025 planted acres. Producers must report acres to their local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office by March 13, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET to be eligible. Producers may apply online through the FBA portal or request a pre-filled application from their local FSA county office. More information can be found here. The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) and the Specialty Crop Farm Bill Alliance partners continue advocating for no less than $5 billion in dedicated economic aid for the specialty crop sector.
