MAJOR GLOBAL FROZEN POTATO MERGER BETWEEN J.R. SIMPLOT AND CLAREBOUT POTATOES

J.R. Simplot Company has announced their intention to acquire Clarebout Potatoes, a potato processing company headquartered in Belgium. Both parties expect the acquisition to be closed in 2025 once all regulatory approvals are attained. Together, the two companies have successfully created a frozen potato processing group able to serve customers worldwide with localized product from 23 production locations. The acquisition provides Clarebout Potatoe’s to maintain assets, including staff and production sites, and expand on the European continent.
