EXPORT REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 27, 2027 FOR KEY ASIAN MARKETS

Potatoes USA is reminding potato table stock exporters and chip stock exporters that the deadline to submit shipper registration forms to export to Japan, Korea, or China in 2026 is March 27, 2026. Annual registration is required prior to shipping to these countries.

Interested shippers of table stock and chipping potatoes from Arizona, California, Colorado, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Wisconsin, can find the registration process for the newly secured Market access to Korea in the Korea Registration Forms. In addition to the eleven states referenced before, Idaho, Oregon and Washington will need to complete the following to export table stock and/or chipping potatoes to Korea:

1. Grower Letter of Compliance
2. Facility Letter of Compliance

Korea Registration Forms and Operational Guidelines for Korea Fresh Potato Export Program 2026

For exporting chipping potatoes to Japan, shippers must complete the following as outlined:

1. Grower Letter of Compliance
2. Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fish (MAFF) Forms 1 and 2

Japan Registration Forms and Summary of Japan Shipping Requirements

Chipping potato exporters from Idaho, Oregon, or Washington must complete the following as outlined:

1. Grower Letter of Compliance
2. Facility Letter of Compliance

China Registration Forms and Summary of China’s PNW Chipping Potato Export Program

Completed registration forms for any of the three countries, China, Korea, and Japan, must returned to both of the following:
