Three easy and super flavorful dips and shake-on seasonings for fries of all forms, wedges, roasted potatoes, tots and more. Use the seasoning blends in recipes, too!

Sweet & Sour Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups, tap water, divided
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup, low sodium
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce, less sodium

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together 3/4 cup water and 1/3 cup cornstarch.
  2. In a half-size 2” steam table pan, whisk together remaining water, cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and cornstarch slurry. Cover. Place in the steamer and heat for 15 minutes. Remove from the steamer, uncover and whisk. Recover, place sauce back in the steamer and heat for 7-8 minutes or until sauce is nectar thick and until internal temperature reaches 140°F.
  3. To serve, place 2 Tbsp (1 fl oz spoodle) sauce served with 1/2 cup waffle fries, tater tots, or French fries.
Chipotle Pepper Seasoning Blend

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chipotle pepper, ground
  • 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp coriander, ground
  • 1/4 cup cumin
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic

Directions

  1. Mix all seasonings well. Store in a dry, airtight container.
  2. Prepare Potatoes: Toss 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup seasoning blend per 5 lb bag waffle fries, tater tots, or French fries based on desired flavor profile. Bake on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper according to the processor’s directions.
  3. To serve, scoop 1/2 cup (4 fl oz spoodle) potatoes.
Smoky Hot Pepper Seasoning Blend

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole or 3/4 cup ground crushed red peppers, dried
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup onion powder
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic
  • 2 Tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 Tbsp thyme, dried, leaves

Directions

  1. Place 1 cup dried red peppers (if using whole) in a grinder, blender or food processor and grind into 3/4 cup fine powder. Note: May substitute with a premade sriracha seasoning. Note sodium if included in ingredients.
  2. Mix all seasonings well. Store in a dry, airtight container.
