The Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) needs your help spreading the word on the health benefits of potatoes for athletes! For so many years potatoes have been categorized as unhealthy, which just isn’t true! Studies have found that athletes are using potatoes as a powerful fuel before, during and after major events. Replacing gels during long endurance runs and rides with a few small boiled potatoes gives athletes the energy to continue. The complex carbohydrates in potatoes provides energy and is an important fuel for the muscles during exercise.
WHAT IS TEAM POTATO?
As a member of Team Potato, WSPC will supply you with a Team Potato Jersey for running and/or biking.
WSPC will also reimburse you for registration fees for certain athletic events throughout the year if you,

Post pictures in the Powered by Potatoes jersey at the event to your social media

Send pictures to WSPC at btucker@potatoes.com of you participating in the event
SUBMISSIONS FOR REIMBURSEMENT
The WSPC will reimburse athletes for up to 3 events each year. Please note that reimbursements to one athlete will not exceed $500.00 a year, and you must register yourself for the event. Copies of receipts will be sent to the WSPC office via email at btucker@potatoes.com or fax 509-765-4853. Please include a mailing address for a reimbursement check.

Joining Team Potato gives permission for the Washington State Potato Commission to use photographs submitted to them in promotion related to the promotion without further compensation. Washington State Potato Commission reserves the right to change the rules and/or discontinue the contest at any time without notice.
