Breaching of the Lower Snake River dams is currently being explored as part of the Columbia River System Operations (CRSO) mediation. The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) has planned two upcoming "listening sessions" to discuss this process and to hear the public's perspective on dam breaching.
