The Washington Department of Labor and Industries is increasing workers' compensation rates for 2023. L&I is proposing an average workers compensation rate increase of 4.8%, and some commodities will see rate increases as high as 14%. This will result in an average annual increase of about $61 per full time employee, which is paid by both the employer and the worker. Potato farming will see a 7% increase.
