WHITE POTATOES ARE AN EFFECTIVE WHOLE FOOD EXERCISE RECOVERY OPTION
A new study, published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology, shows that when recreationally active men and women eat white potatoes after exercising, glycogen is regenerated as effectively as it is with commercial sports nutrition products. This was the first ever study conducted investigating potatoes’ role in post-exercise recovery and demonstrates how whole food carbohydrate sources, like potatoes, are an option for both men and women.
