Filming is just about to start on an upcoming season of Washington Grown, airing in 2024, that will explore Washington agricultural exports in international markets. The Washington Grown TV crew, Washington growers Mark and Randi Hammer, and Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) Directors Brandy Tucker and Chris Voigt will travel to and take part in telling the story of Washington agricultural exports in Mexico City, Mexico and HoChiMinh City, Vietnam. Agricultural exports will be the focus for the first part of the season, and then Washington Grown will circle back to Washington state to provide perspective from Washington growers selling internationally. Apples, pears, wheat, potatoes, onions, and wine will be highlighted during the season and the WSPC will showcase fresh potatoes and French fries during the trip.

WSPC has acquired Specialty Crop Block Grant Program funding through the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) to assist with the costs of producing the season focusing on Washington agricultural exports. Voigt expressed the video will also be used to promote Washington agricultural products overseas.

According to WSDA, Washington grown and processed ag exports totaled $7.7 billion dollars in 2021.

Season 10 of Washington Grown began airing on January 3, 2023. Watch the full episode here.
