US FARMERS AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS CAN APPLY FOR GRANTS UNDER THE FEDERAL PRODUCTION EXPANSION PROGRAM.

$500 million in grants is now available through the Federal Production Expansion Program to help curb price hikes to US farmers caused by Ukraine war, stimulate competition, and increase fertilizer production inside the United States. To be an eligible entity for this program grant, your company must be a for profit business or corporation, non-profit entity, tribe or tribal organization, producer owned cooperative or corporation, certified benefit corporate or a state or local government. To apply, private entities must be independently owned and operated. The term of the grant is five years, and the minimum grant is one million while the maximum grant is $100 million.

Fertilizer production programs supported by this grant would need to be independent (market restrictions would apply), made in America, innovative, sustainable, and focused to the American farmer. Applicants looking to receive priority for projects increasing fertilizer availability need to apply by November 14, 2022, and applicants looking for financial assistance to increase American made fertilizer production must apply by December 29, 2022.
