United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Announces Nominations Advancing to the U.S. Senate for Under Secretary of Food Safety at the United States Department of Agriculture, a Farm Credit Administration Board Member, and Under Secretary for the Trade and Foreign Agriculture Affairs at the United States Department of Agriculture.

 In a press release dated September 27, 2022, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, along with Senator John Boozman (R-Ark.), Ranking Member of the Committee, presented the committee’s nominations advancing to the full U.S. Senate for consideration. The Committee chose to advance Dr. Jose Emilio Estabon from California to be Under Secretary for Food Safety at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. From New York, Mr. Vincent Garfield Logan, to be appointed a Member of the Farm Credit Administration Board and Ms. Alexis Taylor, of Iowa, for the position of Undersecretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

On Thursday, September 22, 2022, the committee met and held a hearing to discuss the nominations.
