SMOKE FROM WILDFIRES – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR WORKER SAFETY
0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

This week seasonal wildfires in our area have filled the sky with smoke, and exposure to smoke presents health risks to all workers, especially those working outside.  The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries provides a Wildfire Smoke Safety PowerPoint presentation in English, Spanish and Russian that focuses on health effects of wildfire smoke, how to find air quality information, when and how to use respirators, and other protections against smoke.   Recommendations provided in this presentation are consistent with 2022 DOSH emergency Wildfire Smoke rule regulations (WAC 296-62-085).
