NRCS-WA TO HOST FISCAL YEAR 2023 ACEP-ALE SIGN-UP
The Natural Resources Conservation Service in Washington will begin accepting applications for the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program – Agricultural Land Easements (ACEP-ALE) on Friday, October 14, 2022. Applications must be submitted by close of business on Thursday, December 15, 2022.
Through ACEP-ALE, NRCS provides financial assistance to eligible partners so they can purchase permanent easements that protect agricultural use and conservation value of the land. These easements prevent productive working lands from being converted to non-agricultural uses, while supporting and maximizing the protection of land devoted to food and fiber production. Cropland, rangeland, grassland, pastureland and non-industrial private forestland are all eligible for ACEP-ALE.
