ECOLOGY GHG EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE

The Department of Ecology issued an optional exemption certificate on Friday, 2/10/23 that can be used by covered entities that are fuel suppliers to help document sales of fuels that are exempt under the Cap-and-Invest program. This certification form covers the following:

• Fuels used to transport agricultural products on public highways,
• Fuels used in agricultural operations, and
• Watercraft or maritime fuels combusted outside of Washington.

This optional form is another resource for fuel suppliers and end users to document exempted fuels.
