CHANGE TO CANADIAN IMPORT REQUIREMENTS

0.0/5 rating (0 votes)

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has confirmed for Apples, Onions, and Potatoes certified as meeting Canadian import requirements, there is no longer a required time frame between inspection and shipment to Canada.  This change will be implemented immediately.

The following previous requirements are now obsolete and should no longer be used:

  • For Apples not more than seven (7) days have elapsed between inspection and shipment to Canada.
  • For potatoes and onions not more than three (3) days have elapsed between inspection and shipment to Canada.
  • If this time had elapsed a new inspection would be required before the product could be shipped to Canada.
