The mission of the Washington State Potato Commission and its Commissioners is to support an economically and environmentally sustainable Washington State potato industry by providing strong leadership and innovation, and building partnerships to meet the demands of global consumers.

Astor Boozer, USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) regional conservationist for the West Region; Roylene Comes At Night, Washington state conservationist; and other NRCS staff toured the Odessa Groundwater Replacement Program (OGWRP) with OGWRP partners. The half-day event was coordinated by the Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD).

Under the authority of Section 5 of the CCC charter act, the USDA made a pre-solicitation announcement of plans to purchase fresh apples, pears, potatoes, and mixed fresh produce boxes to distribute to various food nutrition assistance programs.
