Executive Director

Chris serves as the Executive Director of the Washington State Potato Commission. He eats potatoes. He eats lots of potatoes! Chris spent 60 days eating nothing but potatoes to prove how incredibly healthy they are. His efforts resonated with potato lovers around the world, and he ended up doing over 300 media interviews discussing how he got healthier eating nothing but potatoes. When Chris isn’t eating potatoes, he spends his time facilitating potato research that focuses on growing more food while using less resources. He is actively involved in legislative and regulatory policies to ensure that family farms have the resources they need to produce healthy, safe, and affordable food. Chris is passionate about food and farming and jumps at any chance to be an advocate for both. In Chris’ free time he loves all that the outdoor activities Washington provides, skiing, surfing, backpacking, fly fishing, kayaking, rafting, biking, skateboarding, and dodgeball.
