Brandy Tucker

Director of Marketing & Industry Affairs

Brandy serves as the Director of Operations and Marketing & Industry Affairs for the Washington State Potato Commission, where she passionately advocates for potato growers and shares their stories with consumers. Brandy is dedicated to educating the public on where their food comes from, highlighting the safe growing practices of Washington’s potato farmers. She also works to dispel misconceptions about the health benefits of potatoes, countering the negative impact of fad diets.

One of Brandy’s greatest joys is teaching children about the potato industry and its significance. She believes that potato people are among the best she’s ever met. A standout moment in her career was leading the distribution of 1 million pounds of potatoes during the early days of COVID-19. As restaurants shut down and a surplus of potatoes emerged, Brandy and her team organized nine stops across Washington to provide potatoes to those in need, partnering with local food banks. While this initiative didn’t offer financial relief to growers, it showcased their generosity and dedication to feeding families across the state.
